Good food
We offer traditional pub food with lots of family favourites at great value for money prices, all freshly prepared to your individual order in Clifton! We serve good home cooked pub fayre and it’s always great value and quality every Wednesday to Sunday. Our menu is family friendly and includes steaks, burgers, fish and chips and sandwiches, we can get busy on a weekend so please book a table to be sure although, we will always do our best to find a table! In the warmer months the pub has an excellent garden and outside area to enjoy sunshine days and great quality food and refreshing drinks. In the winter we have a cosy interior with a real fire. Sky & BT Sports
We have both Sky and BT sports and show all your favourite sports action on large screen TV’s in our friendly bar and restaurant so why not come and enjoy the action with friends and a great atmosphere. See all our upcoming fixtures here. We also serve a great range of burgers, topped seasoned fries and sharing platters to enjoy with the match. We have both darts and a pool table and our darts and pool teams are very active in local leagues.
Great bar
Our bar is well stocked with 2 Cask Ales and one Guest Ale all of excellent quality. We also offer a good range of gins all served with superior Fever Tree tonics, plus some great whiskies, rums and a selection of fine wines. There are also some great low alcohol and soft drink choices and a choice of Seattle’s Best Coffees and a great tea selection. The Golden Lion the perfect place to spend quality time with family and friends.
Family beer garden
We always have something special on offer – keep warm by the fire when it is cold outside, while in summer you and the kids will enjoy our large garden and fantastic children’s play area.
